Screening at the Nation’s Capital

On March 20th, we premiered The Meaning of Wild at the Department of the Interior as part of the DC Environmental Film Festival.  We had an incredible showing with over 400 attendants and a Q and A after the screening.  It was a great success and we are so excited to continue our festival tour.

“The film brilliantly captures the special characteristics that have come to be associated with wilderness – such as remoteness, wildness, and sheer grandeur. Well we can thank the Tongass for providing the extraordinary scenery, we can thank the Film maker – Ben Hamilton – for so deafly capturing the essence of those 5 wilderness areas and rolling hours upon hours of video photage into a 30-minute narrative that tells a story of one visitors journey into the vast AK landscape. He also tells the impact of this journey on the MOW, the essence, the spirit of what it means to be wild. We could not have been more pleased with the work and working with the SCS and a number of other partners as well as Ben Hamilton to complete this film.”

Here is the interview with JJ and Ben after the screening.
